Three generations of Kart Racers!
It all started back in the early 1950's as young Stan Hall's parents Greg & Marie took
him to a road race that went through the streets and surrounding roads of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The youngster immediately
became infatuated with the sights and sounds of motor racing and he soon began racing competition go-karts. In
the early 60's Stan would run various street races throughout the state as well as at Badger Raceway in
Dousman, Wisconsin. After racing in the sprint classes at Badger for a couple of years he became best friends
with a fellow racer by running into him on the race track, literally (when they crashed each other out of a race). His
name was Harvey Aschenbrenner and after the two had a few harsh words regarding the crash, they started to forge
a friendship that would last a lifetime. Harvey soon decided to start racing enduro's (road racing) and eventually
developed his own enduro kart called the Banchi FKE (Formula Karting Experimental). Enduro racing would never
to be the same. Harvey and Stan were the first drivers of the FKE's and they dominated every race they entered. They ran at
Meadowdale in Illinois, Lyndale Farms and State Fair Park (The Milwaukee Mile) in Wisconsin, also Mid-Ohio, Indianapolis Raceway
Park as well as many other road course venues of the day. Stan was out of karting for awhile at the end of the sixties
while he and his wife Connie were busy raising four boys (Mike, Doug, Scott and Mark), but his passion
for racing never subsided and it eventually funneled down to his boy's as they started to race themselves in the early
seventies. Now there is a third generation driver in the family as Scott's son, Derek began racing kid karts
when he was four. Mike and Scott have also been racing in the enduro series for the last several years and even Stan got back
into racing by competing at the Road America Super Nationals in Scott's Margay enduro kart in 1999. Stan's brother Dennis
and his son Jim also ran some enduro races in the late 90's as well. This website is dedicated to Stan and all of the people
who have been involved with Hall Racing over the last 50+ years.

Stan found an old enduro kart from the late 60's at the local junkyard. We are in the process of restoring
it and hope to race it in the "Run What Ya Brung" class at Road America. It is believed to be a 1967 Hornet.
